Onze sportiefste collega Peter de Jeu staat morgen weer aan de start van de Marathon van Rotterdam. Een opwarmertje voor hem, in mei loopt hij (weer) een triatlon namelijk. Na een jaar met blessures gaat hij er gewoon weer voor, zijn motivatie en doorzettingsvermogen is bewonderenswaardig! We wensen je heel veel succes en natuurlijk ook veel plezier. What exactly is a POOL anchor? ️ Good question! This type of anchor is a true powerhouse and known as a High Holding Power anchor. What makes this anchor particularly unique is its fully balanced design and high holding capacity. Thanks to this balance, it always returns to the correct position when being retrieved. The flat top side also ensures the anchor fits perfectly against the hull of the vessel, allowing it to be neatly and efficiently stowed in the anchor pocket. POOL anchors are available in various designs, such as the POOL KM anchor, POOL N anchor and POOL YM anchor: specifically developed for yachts! At Wortelboer, we are proud owners of this unique design and supply anchors ranging from kg up to an impressive , kg. — Wat is nu eigenlijk een POOL anker? ️ Een goede vraag! Dit type anker is een echte krachtpatser en staat bekend als een 'High Holding Power' anker. Wat dit anker extra bijzonder maakt, is dat het volledig gebalanceerd is en een hoge houdkracht heeft. A true giant! ️ At Wortelboer, we are proud owners of the one and only POOL TW anchor. Weighing no less than , kg, this impressive piece of steel is comparable to roughly four elephants! From selecting certified materials to assembly and welding, it has been produced with great care and attention to detail. The anchor, together with chains and components, will be transported to the client using trucks. A great project we are proud of! — Wat een gigant! ️ Bij Wortelboer zijn we de trotse eigenaar van het enige echte POOL TW anker. Met een gewicht van maar liefst . kg is dit monster te vergelijken met ongeveer vier olifanten! Van het selecteren van gecertificeerd materiaal tot het samenstellen en lassen: het is met zorg en oog voor detail geproduceerd. Uiteindelijk gaat dit anker, samen met kettingen en componenten, verdeeld over vrachtwagens richting de klant. Een mooi project waar we trots op zijn!

Ready for launch! ️ On behalf of Wortelboer, Michel and Lucas attended the launch of the MPV Greta C at Royal T Shipyards . We delivered the POOL TW anchors and corresponding chain cables for this project. Great to see everything come together on the water. A successful day! — Ready for launch! ️ Michel en Lucas waren namens Wortelboer aanwezig bij de tewaterlating van de MPV Greta C bij Royal T Shipyards . Voor dit project mochten wij de POOL TW ankers en bijbehorende kettingen leveren. Mooi om te zien hoe onze producten uiteindelijk hun plek vinden op het water. Een geslaagde dag!

Did you know we have been active in the maritime industry for more than years? ️ Our story goes back to the early s, when Gerard Wortelboer started selling high-quality nuts and bolts. When Ruud Wortelboer joined the company, it grew into a true father-and-son business, and the focus shifted to anchors and chain cables. We began in Rotterdam, at the Eemhavenstraat and moved to the Quarantaineweg in the early s, where we are still based today. A yard of , m², filled with anchors, chain cables and everything that comes with it. Today, the next generation is at the helm, and we are still very much a family business. With the same down-to-earth mentality, expertise and / service. Because shipping does not stop at pm. And neither do we. — Van bouten en moeren… naar . m² vol ankers en kettingen. Wist je dat we al meer dan jaar actief zijn in de maritieme sector? ️ Onze geschiedenis gaat terug naar begin jaren ’, toen Gerard Wortelboer startte met de verkoop van kwaliteitsbouten en -moeren. Toen Ruud Wortelboer aansloot, groeide het bedrijf uit tot een echt vader-zoonbedrijf en werd de focus verlegd naar ankers en kettingen.
